The TeamSnap iPhone App Has Arrived!

We are excited to announce that the new TeamSnap iPhone App is now available for free in the Apple App Store. This means that you can bring TeamSnap right to the field and get important information about your team, roster, schedule, and messages when you’re on the go or at the game.

Here is what you get:

  • Complete Roster Information – your team at your fingertips
  • Team Schedule – times, locations and maps of all your games and practices
  • Set and View Availability – make sure that you have enough players
  • View and Upload Photos – right from the game
  • Read Team Messages – from the manager and other players
  • Comprehensive Team Communications – email or text the entire team (coming soon)
  • Incredibly Easy To Use – come on, what else would you expect from TeamSnap?

Here is what you give:

Oh wait … nothing. It’s free!

Version 1.0 has many core features that we know our users need from TeamSnap on-the-go, but we’re already hard at work on updates that will bring even more of the complete TeamSnap experience to the field, including more comprehensive messaging and editing capabilities. We’d love your feedback and suggestions on the app as we continue to roll out new versions over the next few weeks and months.

Initial customer reviews are already rolling in and they are overwhelmingly positive:

“You have made our lives so much easier with TeamSnap app. Easy to navigate and view and all info right on my fingertips” – Parangal Dance Company

TeamSnap mobile is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3, iPad, and iPod Touch on iOS 3.2 – 4.1. And for those of you that have asked, we want to bring the mobile TeamSnap experience to as many users as possible, so we’re currently evaluating the possibility of versions for the Android and BlackBerry. We will update you on our plans for those platforms as they develop.

We even heard that Lindsay Lohan has been spotted using the app to keep track of her court dates. Ok we’re kidding, that’s not true. Though not a bad idea…

I have just downloaded the app! it looks awesome, the only glitch that I can see, is that some of the maps are way off….otherwise I’m very excited about using this on-the-go, as team manager, I cant always remember everything all the time – this will help me as well as the rest of the team. Kudos for making it free too!!!!

Andrew Berkowitz

Thanks Sue! Please contact TeamSnap Support and let us know which of your maps are off so we can take a look. We just use the native iPhone mapping stuff, so it’s possible it’s not understanding the address you entered, but we’d love to take a look.

Jeff

How about an Android version?

Andrew Berkowitz

We’ve had a lot of requests for an Android version and are very strongly considering one.

Karl

And a Blackberry version… please!

Steven

I’ll second that request for an android version. It would be very helpful.

John

Very cool app. Nice job guys, especially for a first version. I see that you are planning some messaging features. As I team manager, I’d love to be able to use my teamsnap app to send a quick text message to all mobile phones listed in the roster. Keep up the good work!

Andrew Berkowitz

Yep, sending texts to your team via the iPhone app is coming very soon!

joe

when i click on any of the headings in team snap, overview, etc. or just wait a bit and it goes back to my main page of apps

Shari

Is there a BlackBerry app available yet? If not, we would love to have one :)

Wilm

Please give us a BlackBerry App!!!

Yvonne Jilderda

Love the new app. the only thing missing is for managers or coaches not being able to add the scores. Will that be possible to add?

Roger Snyder

Looks good, though I see it is not for systems older than iOS 3.2, which makes it unstable on my older device.

Tami

I downloaded this app and LOVE IT. WE had some new team members and I loved being able to just click at the bottem and add their contact infor to my Iphone contact list. Wat to go. This app just made my iphone the purchase of the year.

margaux

@Shari @Wilm We are evaluating our next mobile platform and strongly considering a BlackBerry app – thanks for the input.

Luke

Droid version please!!!!

Ole Rosendahl

+1 for Android!

Andrew Berkowitz

We did just find and fix a bug that was affecting some iOS 3.x users. The fixed app will be available as soon as it’s approved in the App Store. We’ll update with a blog post when it’s here.

Andrew Berkowitz

Yes, we’re hard at work at the next version now.

Andrew Berkowitz

Joe, it sounds like you’re on iOS 3.x. We just sent a fix for that to the Apple Store, and it should be available for download soon.

Margaux Viola

We would like to be able to accommodate our enthusiastic Android users and this is on our roadmap. In the meantime, take a look at the page we just posted: Developer API Know anyone who may be interested? Please pass it along.

Gareth

Android…. add me to the list. In fact, it is a decision factor on whether my son’s newest team starts using teamsnap at all.

Our team is 90% blackberry equipped. Is the BB app on your development roadmap?

Margaux Viola

@Mike – It is on the roadmap but we can’t provide a good idea of timing quite yet. We are in the process of developing a 2.0 version of our API so if you know anyone who may be interested in developing a 3rd party Blackberry app, please send them our way: http://teamsnap.com/api.php
