Your roster just got faster

We mean your Roster page. The actual players on your roster probably still run at the same speed.

You may notice today that the Roster page is loading faster, especially if you’ve got a lot of players. We’ve done some behind-the-scenes optimization to make everything TeamSnappier.

Let us know if you see an improvement!

The roster (list of players) is no longer sorted by Name of players, which was quite logical and useful.
It seems to me that the roster is now sorted by date-of-registration or the like, which is quite cumbersome.
Can you restore the right sorting?

Our roster is no longer sorting by first name. It looks random to me. I changed the sort on the manager page to last name, saved, and then back to first name and it still didn’t fix the roster sort. Is this a bug?

Oops. Yes, it was a bug that managed to slip by us. It should be fixed now. Thanks for the catch!

You guys have the best team product, bar none. Great job! Can I ask for one enhancement? The structure of your product seems to be awesome for adult teams, but it leaves a little to be desired for youth teams. Specifically, on three fronts:

1) Youth Players’ Email — kids really won’t have an email nor will they look for updated information, that will be taken care of by the parents. So…

2) Parent Attachments to Players on the Roster — It would be nice if each Roster Player could have multiple “Parent Attachments” that could be part of their profile. These Parents would be identified by their e-mail and they would also reside alongside the Roster Player (their child). It’s cumbersome to have to add each parent as a Non-Playing addition to the roster. And it’s annoying to keep seeing the reminder to add an e-mail to the Roster Player when it’s a child and you know that you will NOT be adding an e-mail for them. Can this feature have a “delete” operator programmed for it?

3) Multiple Parents — If the parents could be added to the Roster Player’s profile, you should make accommodations for 4 or possibly 6 parents. With non-traditional families, there is a real possibility that 2 sets of parents may want to be notified of team information, and each of these parents may read more than one e-mail account.

I hope this helps and that it is possible to integrate into your programming. It really is an absolutely awesome product. This could make it even better for youth teams.

Thank you for the speed bump! It is very noticable on my very large rosters.

Thank you!

I agree with Joe,

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Teamsnap!!!

And would like to see multiple entries for parent in the player field. With that said, you will need to add the text message capabilities to each entry in the player field.

When do you plan on rolling this out?

Yvonne
