Spyder pledges $1000 to Wounded Warrior Project

Congrats to our Boulder neighbors, ski apparel brand Spyder Active Sports, who have just announced their pledge to raise $1,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project by reaching out to their Facebook page members. WWP is a nonprofit which provides programs and services to injured soldiers returning from war. Great use of social media – talk about webbing for good. Go Spyder!

We’ve all seen coaches get doused with Gatorade after winning a championship, or a celebratory dunk over the crossbar after a touchdown. These moves are not just overplayed, they’re so 2008. We Applaud a Great Bit of Sportsmanship

One of our customers forwarded us the attached, which describes the compassion of the US women’s under-17 soccer team after defeating Haiti in a qualifying match. The reaction of the US goalie, Bryane Heaberlin, and the rest of the US team to the despondency of Hati’s goalie after the 9-0 drubbing exemplifies sensitivity and sportsmanship. We applaud Bryane and her teammates. They represent the best of what sports can be about.
